About Proovia 4 questions

Who we are, and the facts you can verify independently.

Proovia Couriers is a Birmingham based delivery platform, connecting customers with contracted delivery partners who work in two-person teams. We transport a wide range of items across the UK mainland, including furniture, household goods and personal effects, construction and building materials, car parts, specialist equipment and machinery, eBay and auction purchases, as well as providing full house moves. We collect from private sellers as well as marketplaces, and handle items too large or heavy for a standard parcel carrier.

Proovia began in Birmingham in 2014 as a small family delivery business started by the Rusu family. The service is operated today by Proovia Couriers Ltd, incorporated on 11 November 2020.

Coverage 2 questions

Where we go, and why remote routes take a little longer.

Yes, Proovia Couriers covers most of the UK mainland, including mainland Scotland from the Borders and Glasgow through to Aberdeen and Inverness. Please note that we do not provide deliveries to the Scottish Islands. Routes to the Scottish Highlands operate every few days rather than daily, so we recommend booking in advance to allow us to confirm the available collection and delivery dates.

Proovia Couriers operates routes to Scotland and remote areas of England, such as Cornwall, every few days rather than daily. These routes typically require the courier to spend two days in the area: the first day is dedicated to deliveries, while the second is used for collections, allowing the van to leave the area fully loaded. For example, if you book a collection in Inverness for the 20th, we would expect to deliver the item on the 22nd or 23rd — the exact delivery date will be confirmed closer to the time once the route has been planned.

Pricing & timing 4 questions

What it costs, and how long each tier takes.

A two-seater sofa starts from £121.55 with Proovia Couriers on the Eco tier. The exact cost of delivering a sofa or other large item depends on several factors, including the collection and delivery area, item type, dimensions, weight, and the level of service required, so we provide tailored pricing for each shipment. You can get an instant quotation with our online quote calculator.

Delivery times depend on the service tier selected. Proovia Eco typically takes 7–10 working days, Eco Plus 5–7 working days, Standard 2–4 working days, and Premium 1–2 working days. Our First Class service delivers within 36 hours.

Proovia Couriers does not offer a standard same-day delivery service. Our fastest option is First Class, which delivers within 36 hours. Premium delivery typically takes 1–2 business days, while Standard takes 2–4 working days. In some cases, faster delivery may be possible depending on the booking option and the collection and delivery areas — please check with a representative before booking to confirm whether a same-day or expedited service is available for your specific requirements.

Yes. All Proovia Couriers deliveries are assigned a delivery window. Standard, Premium and First Class services have a 2-hour time slot, Eco Plus has a 4-hour window, while Eco deliveries are scheduled for the full day. Please note that customers cannot select or book a specific time slot in advance — the allocated delivery time window is provided the day before the scheduled delivery.

What we deliver 5 questions

From a single item to a full house move.

Every Proovia Couriers delivery is handled by a two-person crew. Delivery to the room of your choice is included from the Standard tier upwards; Eco delivers to your front door and Eco Plus to the ground floor.

Yes. While furniture is one of our main specialities, Proovia Couriers also delivers a wide range of other items, including garden equipment, golf clubs, car parts such as gearboxes, white goods like washing machines and fridges, mobility scooters and medical equipment, pianos and other musical instruments, and office equipment. If you have a large, bulky or awkward item that needs transporting, we may be able to help.

Proovia Couriers can handle anything from single item deliveries to full house moves, including long distance moves across the UK mainland. All jobs are carried out by a two-person team, whether you’re moving one sofa or an entire household. Please note that we do not provide packing or unpacking services, and drivers cannot take away items, unwanted goods or packaging materials for disposal.

Yes, eBay and auction collections are one of Proovia Couriers’ core services. We collect items directly from the seller or auction house, take pictures at the point of collection, and deliver them safely to the buyer anywhere across the UK mainland. See eBay & Auction Item Collection for the full process.

Yes, Proovia Couriers takes photographs of items at both collection and delivery. These photos provide sellers with a record of the item’s condition and can be useful as supporting evidence in the event of a dispute with a buyer or marketplace.

Protection & claims 2 questions

Cover by tier, and what happens if something breaks.

Yes. The level of damage cover depends on the delivery tier selected at checkout. Eco: no damage cover is included, and the customer assumes full liability. Eco Plus: damage cover up to £100, with no excess. Standard: damage cover up to £300, with no excess. Premium & First Class: cover is based on the lower of the item’s repair cost or its value, subject to a £150 excess. In addition, each Proovia Couriers driver carries their own transit insurance, covering goods in transit. The service-tier damage cover and the driver’s transit insurance are separate forms of cover, and their terms and conditions may vary.

If your item is damaged during delivery, please report the damage to the driver immediately at the time of delivery. You must then contact our Claims Department by email at [email protected] to report the damage and begin the claims process — damage claims cannot be accepted through other channels. Any compensation provided by Proovia Couriers is subject to the damage cover included with your chosen delivery tier. A £150 excess applies to Premium and First Class services only; Eco Plus and Standard have no excess.

On delivery day 3 questions

Access, updates, and the occasional reschedule.

No. You can choose the Leave in secure place option at checkout and describe where the item is or should be left, and your Proovia Couriers driver will follow your instructions.

Yes, live tracking with SMS updates is available from the Standard service upwards. Eco Plus includes basic tracking, while Eco does not include tracking. Your Proovia Couriers driver will also usually call or text you when they are approaching the collection or delivery address.

Rescheduling with Proovia Couriers is uncommon, but it can sometimes be necessary due to missing or incorrect information needed to process the booking. As your order forms part of a larger delivery route, changes to other bookings on the same route can also affect the schedule. For example, if another customer changes their plans, is unavailable, or cancels at short notice, this may impact the available space or timings for other collections and deliveries. Other factors, such as changes to the planned route, traffic, adverse weather conditions, vehicle issues or other unforeseen operational circumstances, may also occasionally result in a booking being rescheduled. If your order cannot be completed as originally scheduled, we will prioritise it for the next available route, usually within the following 2–3 days.

Why Proovia 2 questions

Fixed pricing, accountability, and what customers say.

Proovia Couriers shows a fixed price before you book, rather than a bidding process where cost and courier depend on who picks up the job. Every delivery is carried out by a contracted delivery partner, but your contract is with Proovia, not the courier — so if something goes wrong, you deal with Proovia directly, not a middleman or the individual driver, through a single Claims Department rather than chasing a contractor. This includes room-of-choice delivery from the Standard tier upward and defined damage cover on every tier except Eco. Proovia is rated Excellent on Trustpilot, 4.8 out of 5 from over 60,000 reviews. See how the two models compare in more detail in AnyVan Alternative.

Proovia Couriers is rated Excellent on Trustpilot, with a 4.8 out of 5 average from over 60,000 reviews. Customers most often mention the two-person delivery, room-of-choice service and clear pricing shown before booking.
